Prague- Design Placement Experiences is a personal blog aimed to document and possibly even help anyone thinking about taking a placement in a foreign country. 

My name is Alan Chaffe, and I am 22 year old BA Graphic Communication graduate from summer 2008. Born in Nottingham (not involved in gun crime in any shape or form, if you’ve seen me play Call of Duty you’ll understand!) and raised in Derby, I moved down to Cardiff to begin my studies at UWIC in 2005. 

Having graduated in July 2008, I traveled Europe for 5 weeks and then set about getting my foot in the door with any Design Agency looking for a Junior Designer. 

As you probably guessed by now, I didn’t come across anything suitable. So, I began looking for a placement in the design industry & found an unlikely result in European Training Services. After enquiries and an interview, I am now eagerly waiting to begin a 13 week placement in Prague!

I am aiming to post something new 2 or 3 times a week, dependent on work load or whether I can pick up what WiFi is in Czech!
